I will never forget that evening

My husband and I were going out for dinner to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. He is a man of few words and works long hours so I was brooding over the lack of sentiment on such an important event as this. Dinner was nice, sure, but it was our 25th wedding anniversary! I thought it warrented a little more than an evening out but didn't voice my disappointment. After dinner we drove down to the beach to watch the sunset. We sat holding hands watching the sun set reflecting on the last 25 years. Allan then turned to me and asked,"if you had to do it over again would you marry me?" You see, we were teenagers when we married. Allan and I barely 19, and parents of a beautiful daughter as well! We had overcome alot of difficult times together many times of which I had asked myself"did we do the right thing?" As I looked into his anxious eyes I replied"Of course I would!" We embraced and as we did he slipped a beautiful family ring on my finger! I will never forget that evening.
